Cialis Tadalafil Impotence Medication

What is Cialis and how does
it work?
Cialis is in a class of
medications known as PDE-5 inhibitors, which are used to treat cases of male
impotence. It acts in the same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme called
phosphodiesterase-5, or PDE-5. This helps the smooth muscles in the penis relax
and widen, which allows for more blood to enter. As a result, you gain erections
faster and easier. As with all PDE - 5 inhibitor drugs, it only works when
you are sexually aroused and stimulated!
The biggest advantage that
Cialis has over Viagra is that it has a longer lasting effect on the body
than Viagra. Cialis remains active in the blood stream for up to 36 hours
and arousal can take place within the 36 hour period. Viagra has a window
of only 4 hours making it unpractical in some ways.
Cialis side effects?
Men report less side effects
with Cialis than with Viagra, making it a viable alternative for you if you
suffer from high blood pressure and heart disease.
The most commonly reported
adverse events were headache, upset stomach, nasal congestion, backache, muscle
ache, dizziness, and flushing. The adverse events reported were transient and
generally mild or moderate. As with other PDE5 inhibitors, the use of it is
contraindicated in patients who are taking nitrates. It should not be taken by
patients with certain heart diseases for whom sexual activity itself is not
advisable. In clinical testing most men were administered one 10 mg or 20 mg
tablet per day.
Cialis has shown to act
faster than Viagra, so if you are in a hurry or under "pressure"
to perform or that romantic moment turns more heated, Cialis will "get you
there" faster.
How well does it work?
The EU's executive Commission
gave its approval after more than 60 studies were carried out among 4,000 people
to test it's safety and effectiveness, including a final Phase III trial on more
than 1,000 men. The trials show the drug "achieves its effect in as little
as 16 minutes and lasts between 24 and 36 hours," according to a report in
the British journal New Scientist. It is prescribed at both 10 and 20 mg Cialis
doses. The labels in each of these markets indicate that the product should be
taken prior to anticipated sexual activity and without regard to food. Just like
Viagra, sexual stimulation is needed for it to work.
Cialis is not dependent on food
intake as is Viagra. You can take a capsule now and it remains effective
for up to 36 hours whether you have eaten or not.
